To have an acrylic nail ripped off now and then causes very little damage as long as the natural nail has a chance to grow back or the acrylic hasnt been messed with in between each appointment. A new fingernail will take about 4 to 6 months to grow to replace the lost nail.
Otherwise youll need acrylic nail clippers to remove the acrylic but Id be reluctant to do that if theyre so sore. Its why I hand file which is how I was taught so many years ago. After a nail separates from the nail bed for whatever reason it will not reattach.
